Free Showbook Ad for Raffle Donations!

The Atlantic Chapter is proud to offer a free half-page ad in our showbook for the upcoming April 14th show to anyone who donates an item to our raffle.

Raffle donations need not be chinchilla related! All donations are welcome and may be sent ahead of time to redeem your free ad if you cannot attend the show.

Please contact Mish Irish at mishirish@yahoo.com for further details. The deadline to place an ad is March 25th, following the National show.

2012 Atlantic Chapter Show!!!

Complete information for the 2012 Atlantic Chapter Show has been posted! In short, the show is Saturday April 14th and Dave Woods is judging. The hall will be open Friday evening for registration and housing the animals overnight. We will be having a baby derby, 50/50 raffle, live animal raffle, door prize raffles, Glo-Jo’s Famous Pulled Pork Barbecue lunch (with, hopefully, some delicious sides and desserts brought by you, our esteemed attendees =)), and – new this year – an awards banquet following the show. We will be selling ad space in our showbooks as well as seeking donations for the raffles and trophies. Details on those are in the link as well.

Calendars Available to All!

Our 2012 Calendars are now ready to be mailed to anyone who wants one! They will be $15 total, including shipping, and contain useful info such as US, Canadian, Christian and Jewish holidays as well as the dates of MCBA events planned for next year! Not to mention the beautiful photos of chinchillas. ;)

This is a Claim Show and ALL chinchillas shown at available for claiming and the general rule is once the animal is listed on “The Big Board” that the first person to claim the animal has agreed to buy the animal.

Calendars Ready for New York!

Our 2012 chinchilla calendars are ready to be printed, so we are taking orders for pickup at the New York / New England chapter show next weekend!  The calendars will be $12 if ordered for the show, so send your orders to mishirish@yahoo.com if you want one next weekend! Please order by Wednesday, Sept 14th to give Jim time to print them!

The calendars will be available for $15 mailed (in the US) at any time after the show, but we need to work out how we will be accepting payment so for now we are only taking orders for pickup in New York.

Calendar Photos Chosen!

Voting is now closed for the calendar and the photos have been selected! It’s going to be an awesome calendar, I can promise you that. ;)

There are still a couple ad spaces in the calendar available, if you’d like one get back to me at mishirish@yahoo.com ASAP and I’ll let you know what I need. We are still aiming to have these calendars ready for sale at the New York show in a couple weeks, so I need to finish putting it together by this coming weekend. The ads are $20, you can either Paypal the payment to me and I’ll forward it on to the chapter, or we can collect it at the show.

Calendar Voting

Submissions are now closed for the calendar, and voting is now open! Please have a look at the Calendar Submissions, pick the 13 you would like to see in the calendar and email your picks to mishirish@yahoo.com. The 13 photos with the most votes will make it in to the calendar! Voting will remain open through Saturday, Sept 3rd and close at midnight.

Calendar Fundraiser

For those of you who were unable to make our meeting last weekend – and a reminder for those of you who were there – one of the ideas we discussed was making a chinchilla calendar as a fundraiser for the chapter.  We would like to use photos of chinchillas submitted by you, our members.  Mish will collect your submissions and then make a voting system for you all to choose which photos you like, the top 13 (12 months plus cover) photos voted for will make it into the calendar.

If you would like to donate photos, please send them to Mish Irish at mishirish@yahoo.com by August 31st, we’re going to try to have these calendars available by the New York show in mid-September so this deadline will be strict.  The higher the resolution of the photo, the better! Please limit your submissions to 4.

Also, we are selling business-card sized ad space on each month of the calendar for $20.  There are currently 6, maybe 7, ad spaces available.  If you would like to purchase ad space, let Mish know and she’ll get back to you.
